Dean, Career and Technical Education Support Services
The Dean of Career and Technical Education Support Services serves in a senior district capacity for the management, operations, and assessment of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Responsible for budgeting, purchasing, payroll, and management of CTE Support Services and assigned Grant personnel. Directs and oversees the creation of marketing initiatives, materials, and plans for all CTE programs. Responsible for the implementation of all activities, objectives, and outcomes related to the Carl D. Perkins Grant. The Dean of Career and Technical Education Support Services employs various college-wide initiatives to support student success in Career and Technical programs. Works to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of Career and Technical Education in the College, state-wide, local community and local workforce. Minimum Education Master’s Degree required. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered. Minimum Experience/Training
Ten years of general business experience, including over eight years in management and five years in post-secondary or higher education. Experience in career and technical education or workforce training. Essential Functions
Provides effective leadership to the college community in fulfilling the mission of the college as it relates to the short and long-term strategic planning initiatives for Workforce (i.e. Career & Technical) Education. Provides leadership, administration and evaluation of full and part-time staff to oversee the effectiveness of CTE Support Services. Develops, directs and works in conjunction with Marketing Department on college-wide marketing initiatives to support enrollment management of career and technical education programs. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Knowledge and understanding of postsecondary career and technical education, workforce education, the Carl D. Perkins legislation and how it relates to students. Knowledge and understanding of the academic program assessment process for institutional effectiveness. Excellent supervision, interpersonal and presentation skills.
