Job Summary
As an essential member of the clinic team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your certification, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate smooth clinic operations. You will communicate effectively with patients, providers, and coworkers to optimize patient flow and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient care tasks and carry out provider orders accurately and promptly. Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents are obtained. Notify patients of test results as directed by providers. Document patient complaints, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations. Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to legal guidelines. Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and documentation. Coordinate referrals and ensure timely processing of consults, exams, and diagnostics. Manage exam room supplies, medication samples, and maintain cleanliness and infection control standards. Participate in special projects and support a positive, collaborative work environment. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program. Licenses and Certifications
Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire. Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques. Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently with good judgment. Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and fostering effective teamwork.
Work Environment
This part-time position involves 12-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek, offering a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth and wellness benefits.
