Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker and Forklift Operator to assist in our pellet production line. You will be responsible for loading raw materials, monitoring the production line, and packaging the finished product. Your role will include operating a forklift to transport materials, ensuring quality control, and maintaining cleanliness in the workspace.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift to load raw materials into a mixer at the start of the production line.

Monitor the production line to ensure smooth operation without errors.

Package the finished product into sacks and prepare for shipping.

Load the product into an oven using a forklift and manage the oven process.

Stage final products for shipping by weighing and wrapping them.

Maintain cleanliness by sweeping up black coal resin from the floors.

Essential Skills

High mechanical aptitude.

Comfortable with obtaining certification for operating a sit-down forklift.

6+ months of experience in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Willingness to shave facial hair for respirator fitting and wear a respirator.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with sit-down forklifts.

Experience in operating heavy machinery or mixing type machines.

Familiarity with wearing a respirator.

Work Environment

The work environment is dusty and involves working with a small team of eight people, fostering a team-oriented culture with cross-training opportunities. The job is physically demanding and requires wearing a respirator, gloves, and a Tyvek suit, which will be provided. While the environment can get very hot on humid days, it is well-ventilated with fans. Shifts currently run from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday, with potential future adjustments to 12-hour shifts. Extra breaks will be provided as temperatures rise.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ARDEN HILLS, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
