WhiteCap Search The fund is seeking its first Director of Finance or Controller to support growth and expansion. This hybrid role is based in Manhattan, NY. This position requires deep expertise in fund-level finance and cross-entity operations, offering an opportunity to shape the financial operations of a lean, high-performing team. This person will provide strategic and hands-on leadership over accounting, tax, audit, and treasury functions. Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations across all affiliate entities. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Oversee general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and quarterly close processes. Manage capital calls and distributions across funds and investor entities. Maintain and reconcile capital account balances and investor reporting. Provide cash flow projections, variance analysis, and financial insights to senior leadership. Oversee AP/AR, banking relationships, wire transfers, and payment processing. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred. 6–10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, ideally within real estate, private equity, or investment management. Strong knowledge of GAAP, partnership accounting, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks; familiarity with accounting software systems a plus. Experience coordinating audits and tax filings with third-party providers.
