Federal Account Executive (Civilian) - Washington, DC Granicus

is seeking a Federal Account Executive (Civilian) for Washington, DC. The role focuses on driving new revenue in the Federal sector with a mission-driven approach to public sector digital engagement.

What you will do

Understand customer mission requirements for digital communications with the public, including mapping to Executive Priorities within the Agency, office, or program.

Develop and independently deliver custom presentations on Granicus to revolutionize the prospect\'s engagement within the Public Sector.

Conduct detailed research and analysis on the Federal Government Vertical, specific to Civilian Agencies and their business imperatives and challenges to drive demand generation.

Develop effective sales strategies, territory, and account plans, leveraging all assets available to generate pipeline growth and opportunities.

Establish agency management level relationships based on customer requirements and value delivery; build trust to guide mission outcomes.

Lead designated territory, manage relationships, profile prospects, drive sales cycles, and encourage clients to become Granicus references.

Maintain a disciplined, differentiated solutions message to accelerate pipeline progression and keep opportunities moving through the funnel.

Identify risk elements within Agency mission challenges and leverage Granicus services to address them.

Leverage Marketing, Inside Sales, Partners, and channels to develop qualified pipeline in the assigned territory.

Advance and close opportunities through the sales strategy and roadmap.

Develop mission-driven strategies for winning in a competitive environment.

Coordinate internal resources (sales support, marketing, solutions consultants) into a team approach for large deals.

Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for new product and services.

Prioritize a balance of services and product opportunities in the territory (approximately 50/50).

Willing to travel at least 25% of the time (approximately 1-2 trips per month, 1-3 days each).

You will love this job if you have

8+ years of field sales experience in Digital solutions services or solutions-based sales on a subscription model, including opportunity generation, bids, deal closure, and client management. Federal Government enterprise mission services sales experience is required. Digital communications federal space experience is a plus. Proven ability to manage active opportunities and meet annual sales objectives for complex solutions ($300K - $600K+).

Direct engagement with agency program office personnel in pursuit of large services opportunities.

Ability to differentiate company value to partners, resellers, and integrators.

Strong presentation skills and ability to convey value during all phases of the relationship.

Understanding of negotiation terms and contracting structures for medium to complex engagements.

Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Strong business acumen and ability to demonstrate value and ROI to customers.

Independent accountability and strong prioritization.

Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Competitive, thorough, flexible, and tenacious approach.

Compensation note

Potential on target earnings: $250,000 - $300,000
