The Methodist Congenital Heart Institute and Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas seek a visionary physician leader to serve as Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and Co-Director of the Methodist Congenital Heart Institute.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and continued growth of a comprehensive pediatric cardiology program, which includes a large inpatient service, a robust outpatient clinic, and a diverse team of subspecialists.

The scale of this support network amplifies the Institute’s ability to deliver world-class care, drive innovation, and lead transformative research in congenital heart disease. The Chief will be positioned to influence congenital heart care not only regionally, but across a global platform of excellence. Key responsibilities include: Driving clinical excellence across all facets of pediatric cardiology, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Leading recruitment efforts to attract top-tier talent and build a world-class team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff.
Fostering programmatic growth through innovative service line development, strategic partnerships, and expansion of regional outreach.
Championing academic and research initiatives, including collaboration with medical schools and participation in national and international congenital heart networks.
Engaging in business development activities to enhance visibility, strengthen referral relationships, and position the Institute as a leader in congenital heart care.
Participating in the international HCA Congenital Heart Collaborative, contributing to global advancements in pediatric cardiac care.
