What You Will Do
Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Ops Coordinator, direct day-to-day activities of the department; supervise the technical and support staff. Perform a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting Physicians as needed. Required Qualifications
Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent. AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications

Licensure - Diagnostic: CRT, Fluoroscopy, ARRT Essential Functions
Assures and produces high quality exams; ensures optimal image QA; applies appropriate imaging techniques; positions according to department imaging protocols; labels and identifies studies correctly using legal marker; utilizes imaging equipment proficiently; uses imaging agents (contrast) according to protocol. Demonstrates initiative; ensures daily staffing levels are appropriate for workload and quality patient care needs; supervises day-to-day activities of Radiology Personnel to ensure efficient staff productivity; ensures patient flow is organized; problem-solves to promote positive relationships with internal and external customers; facilitates referring physicians requests; ensures adequate inventory and equipment maintenance; maintains professional atmosphere; adheres to departmental policy and guidelines (dress code, radiation safety, standard precautions). Human resource management; timely completion of staff schedules; provides input on hiring and promotion decisions; ensures completion of performance appraisals and competencies; ensures lunch and break relief; communicates issues to manager/ops coordinator; supports development of technical/student staff; acts as a resource to staff and physicians. Patient and family education; provides pre and post procedure education and reassurance; communicates in a manner appropriate to patient age, culture, health state, and comprehension; maintains patient confidentiality and engages with family supportively. Quality assurance; verifies patient identification and pregnancy status; performs proper procedure on proper patient; follows universal precautions; observes patient status and takes appropriate action; respects patient directives; maintains confidentiality. Regulatory compliance; stays current on regulatory requirements; assists inspectors; ensures exams are completed properly and images accounted for; verifies physician orders; begins and completes exams in IDXrad; completes coding, billing modifiers, and supplies; ensures proper labeling and filing.
