Registration Specialist
role at our
Headquarters
office. Salary information is provided below.
Salary
The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $43,600 and $48,200 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.
Essential Job Functions
Register new clients by conducting private interviews to collect insurance and income information. Secure client consent for services and other required documentation for services. Establish client co-pay. Monitor collection of signatures and required paperwork collected at a site level.
Maintain all required Registration Documentation in the agency EHR for new clients and current clients. Inform all sites of changes in client information relating to insurance and co-payments.
Verify benefits on all new clients and on all scheduled clients each week. Inform all sites of changes in client information relating to insurance and co-payments.
Update and maintain all insurance and co-pay information in the agency EHR.
Facilitate the distribution of Client Statements to all clients. Verify the accuracy of all Client Statements and perform corrections as needed.
Monitor insurance requirements and changes, including authorization requirements.
Respond to client inquiries regarding Registration documentation, insurance billing, co-payments and outstanding bills. Work with Support Staff at all sites in gathering documentation as needed and informing Support Staff of client benefits and co-payments.
Advise all clients on insurance, available benefits and financial options. Assist clients in securing all available benefits.
Work effectively with diverse staff and service population.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with other departments and clients.
Solid problem-solving skills, decision-making capacity and ability to work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education required.
Two years of experience with automated systems or administrative/data entry required.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Experience with insurance registration, databases, or billing software preferred.
Additional Requirements
Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.
Transportation/Travel Requirements
Driving not required. Travel between sites not required.
Physical Demands
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
