We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced oncology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for rooming patients, recording vital signs, and ensuring the smooth operation of the treatment rooms. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Room patients and ensure they are prepared for examinations.

Record patient vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes accurately.

Stock and maintain exam and treatment rooms, ensuring they are well-supplied.

Assist in ordering necessary medical supplies.

Essential Skills

2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Proficiency in oncology and medical assisting.

Ability to room 50-70 patients a day.

Experience with medical terminology and electronic medical records.

Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong customer service skills.

Administrative skills.

Phlebotomy experience.

Work Environment

The work hours are from 8:15 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts. The Medical Assistant will work in a dynamic and fast-paced oncology clinic, providing vital support to healthcare providers. This role involves general front-end duties without being tied to a specific provider. Employees enjoy a supportive culture with team-building activities and holiday celebrations. Benefits include accumulating 5 hours of PTO per pay period, a 401K with a 3% match, and options for two different insurance plans. Reimbursement is available if travel outside of assigned clinics is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tomball, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
