CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable full-time Intensivist/Hospitalist Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in both critical care and hospital medicine. CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600 bed faith-based, non-profit, acute care facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. Our level II trauma center is a regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, behavioral health, cancer care, neurosciences, and other specialties. Job Summary and Responsibilities
Consistent unit assignment focused on optimizing safety and quality metrics with a strong emphasis on patient experience. Will operate in a singular unit part of a larger hospitalist/intensivist team. Will act as a resource to physicians, radiology and lab teams, case management, and nurses. Opportunity to learn from a well-established team of hospitalist physicians with diverse skillsets and a combined 40+ years of tenure. Provides patient services under the direction of a supervising hospitalist. Works both autonomously and collaboratively. Contributes to the St. Vincent Health System mission, vision, and strategic initiatives. Performs comprehensive patient assessments (medical, physical, psychological). Develops, implements, and manages treatment plans. Periodically assesses patient medical needs. Provides patient education and counseling. Functions within the scope of practice defined by state regulations and collaborative agreement. Adheres to patient confidentiality, infection prevention, safety, security, and hospital policies. Current PA licensure in Arkansas (Acute Care certified) Documentation compliant with the Medical Board of satisfactory completion of a PA educational program and completion of preceptorship Eligibility for a Medicare provider number and DEA registration Experience in provider patient care Benefits
