Construction Manager, SEABEL, GREF – Workplace Design & Construction (WD&C)

The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team provides real estate transaction expertise, business partnering, space & occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management and facility maintenance and operations for Amazon’s corporate real estate portfolio across multiple countries. GREF’s Workplace Design and Construction team is looking for a Construction Manager to drive construction services on projects, including tenant improvements, new builds, expansions, and renovations of Amazon corporate facilities. This individual must be comfortable operating on both strategic and tactical levels, simultaneously acting as an internal ambassador, educator, analyst, solutions architect, and implementer. Key job responsibilities include: Represent GREF to internal customers for the delivery of their space. Work closely with and influence internal and external stakeholders including architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors. Monitor project budgets, track costs and prepare forecasts and accruals, manage change orders and contract modifications. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensure compliance with contracts and regulations, monitor safety standards and requirements. Hold Landlords accountable to lease terms and ensure tenant improvement allowances are collected timely. The Construction Manager will also provide management of design and construction projects, including developing and implementing project strategies, allocating resources, and leading project meetings. Basic Qualifications

Required: 5+ years professional experience in Real Estate Development, Architecture/Design, and/or Construction Management. Highly competent with personal computers and productivity software, including Microsoft Office, MS Project and SharePoint. Preferred Qualifications

Preferred: University/Undergraduate degree in construction management, business administration, engineering, architecture, interior design, or a similar discipline. Keen understanding of sourcing/procurement, building systems and maintenance, vendor management and customer service. Comfortable with legal terms and structures for standard commercial contracts and leases. The base pay for this position ranges from $69,700/year to $155,800/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
