Director of Spa role at Four Seasons Resort Lana’i. The Four Seasons Resort Lana’i is looking for a Director of Spa who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.
HAWANAWANA SPA, with a lineup of exclusive world-class spa brands, offers a menu comprising a careful selection of treatments, combining tradition with innovation. Four Seasons Lana’i also features fitness and yoga facilities, and a variety of island activities and experiences.
What You’ll Do The Director of Spa is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the spa and wellness facilities, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving revenue growth. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker with a passion for wellness, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
Responsibilities
Operational Management: Oversee spa operations including guest services, treatment rooms, facilities, and amenities to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the spa, coordinating with housekeeping and engineering as needed. Implement and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, including emergency procedures.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage the spa team (therapists, aestheticians, receptionists, and support staff), provide guidance and training, conduct regular staff meetings, recruit and evaluate performance.
Guest Experience Enhancement: Deliver exceptional guest experiences and personalized services, assist guests with knowledge and recommendations for maximum satisfaction.
Financial Management: Develop and implement strategies to drive spa revenue and profitability (pricing, promotions, retail, memberships). Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets, and provide performance reports with data. Oversee inventory and asset management.
Marketing And Promotion: Collaborate with Marketing/PR to promote the spa and treatments; anticipate trends and implement strategies to keep the spa at the forefront of the industry.
What To Bring — Qualifications
Legal work authorization in United States (unless currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location eligible for L-1 Visa sponsorship).
Hawaii Department of Health TB clearance as required.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed.
Weekend and holiday availability.
Excellent reading, writing, and spoken English.
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a luxury spa setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of spa, wellness, and holistic modalities; understanding of 5-star service standards; ability to develop spa service menus, manage retail, and budget adherence.
Experience as a hands-on therapist (massage therapist, aesthetician, or acupuncture) is preferred.
Passion for the health and wellness industry.
