TheMembership Recruitment Assistant is responsible forpreparing for and attending both virtual and in-person girl and adult member recruitment events. This includesparticipatingin Back to School Nights, local community tabling events, and a variety of virtual and/or in-person meetings, presentations, and networking opportunities with community organizations, schools, educators, faith-based institutions, and other community constituents. TheMembership Recruitment Assistantwill: Prepare for and attend recruitment events both virtual and in-person, including Back to School Nights, community tabling events, and more. Research and connect with family community event organizers to promoteand raise visibility/awareness Research and connect with community partners for collaboration opportunities Conduct virtual and in-person meetings, presentations, and networking opportunities with community organizations, schools, educators, faith-based institutions, and other community constituents. Engage in grassroots marketing to increase visibility and awareness in assigned communities including creating flyers,distributingflyers and other marketing materials to schools, libraries, community centers, and other youth community organizations. Serve as a brand ambassador for the Girl Scouts,representingthe organization positively and effectively. Ensuretimely, thorough, andaccuraterecording of job-appropriate data in the database. Demonstrate experience and success in public speaking and facilitation, including through virtual platforms. Utilize tacticsin sales, retail, marketing, networking, and/or membership recruitmentto increase youth and adult membership as assist in forming new troops. Other duties as assignedto meet organizational goals. Skills required to be successful in this role, include, but are not limited to:

Recognizes opportunities to “close” and hasdemonstratedability to ask for the business/customer transaction. A self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight and take initiative. Community engagement and networking : Provenexpertisein community organizing, networking, and building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Organization and problem-solving skills : Strong organizational skills, adept at time management, and proficient in problem-solving to address challenges effectively. Technology :Proficient in cloud-based applications such as Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, or Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).Internet connection available.Experience using Canva or other creative suite type software. Understanding of CRM software such as: Salesforce. Remote work and/or office expectations:

This position ispart-timenon-exempt,15-20hours per week. More hours may berequiredduring peak seasons. Ability to work a flexible schedule, includingafternoons,nights, and weekends. This position requiresanmultipleevenings per week during peak season. Frequent travel through the assigned region toaccomplishtasks andattendevents. Essential Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED and/or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid California Driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, proof of insurance Able to pass Girl Scouts of Northern California’s background screening process (including fingerprinting, criminal education, social security, and Department of Motor Vehicle verification) Desired Qualifications:

Bilingual in Spanishand English Knowledge of Girl Scout mission and programs Physical Requirements:
