Physician – Physician - Department of Neurology, Epilepsy (Open Rank/Track Faculty) The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a board-certified, Epileptologist to join the Department of Neurology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview The Division of Epilepsy within the Department of Neurology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks to hire an epileptologist who is board-eligible or certified in Neurology and Epilepsy. Expertise is required in the specific area of acute, chronic and tertiary care of epilepsy patients, EEG interpretation, electrocorticography, and evaluation of patients for epilepsy surgery, including stereo EEG, intra and extraoperative functional brain mapping and neurostimulation (VNS/RNS/DBS), both in implantable devices and in managing the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. equivalent degree. There is Dedicated clinical/administrative and nursing support. Department/Division Overview The Department of Neurology at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) consists of 15 specialized divisions, 63 physicians, 5 psychologists, 12 dedicated research faculty, 24 residents, and 14 fellows. We deliver unparalleled subspecialty care across all neurology disciplines, with services spanning 7 state-of-the-art ambulatory facilities and 3 hospitals. Division Overview The Division of Epilepsy within the Department of Neurology is comprised of 7 physicians, 3 APPs, 3 epilepsy nurses, and 1-2 CNP and/or epilepsy fellows each year. The Epilepsy Center encompasses all services for adults with epilepsy and seizures. Duties and Responsibilities Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of medical students, residents, fellows and trainees at all levels, both in clinical neurology and epileptology. Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient epilepsy clinics, EEG/ICU reading and EMU service.
