Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Instructional Designer (Temporary) for Mason Gross School of the Arts – Dean’s Office. This position reports directly to the Head of Instructional Design and Technology. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Instructional Designer (Temporary) for Mason Gross School of the Arts – Dean’s Office. This position reports directly to the Head of Instructional Design and Technology. Responsibilities

Collaborates with content creators and educators to design and build a series of asynchronous professional development and co-curricular modules within the Rutgers University learning platform, Canvas. Advises content creators on best practices to cultivate student engagement and active learning. Helps content creators to consider principles of University Design for Learning in developing the asynchronous content. Ensures that all Canvas content meets current accessibility laws. $30.00 - $35.00/hourly Offer Information

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design theory and practice. Substantial working knowledge of educational technology tools for engaging pedagogy and assessment within a learning management system. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a service-oriented, supportive environment, as well as managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and skills in communication, presentation design and delivery, and data collection and analysis. Familiarity with Canvas LMS and Adobe Premier Pro. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in online course design and development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications
