Talent Optimization Consultant

for the

Talent Strategy

department. The Talent Optimization Consultant drives the design, implementation, and management for all talent management programs and directs the execution of those programs for all staff from senior leaders to frontline employees across the UChicago Medicine Health System. This role contributes to the strategic development of processes, policies and procedures and is responsible for both the technical (Oracle HCM) and organizational integration of talent management practices, including but not limited to performance evaluations, succession planning, goals setting, talent promotion, etc., across the system. This role works collaboratively with organizational leaders to ensure adherence to standards and identify gaps and continuous improvement opportunities related to employees’ performance and skills. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating the systems and processes that enable employees to thrive within a leading academic health system. The ideal candidate is a natural influencer who can lead through collaboration and embrace challenges with a creative, solution-focused mindset. They will work closely with senior leaders and have a visible hand in how the organization grows, while flexing their approach to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels. Responsibilities Drives the design and development of the processes and methodology needed for all talent management programs; assists in the technical (Oracle HCM) and organizational execution of those programs for all staff from senior leaders to frontline employees across the UChicago Medicine Health System.

Lead organizational projects and manage talent optimization initiatives and activities including executive, director and manager level succession management, all employees’ performance management

Partner closely with Career Development to support professional development and employee coaching services.

Track and provide insights on internal mobility and develop reports, metrics, and dashboards to support a robust internal pipeline of promotion-ready candidates as established in the succession management process.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits, troubleshooting, and system testing.

Support the development of content and manage the delivery of communications, tools and educational support materials (Instructor or Computer based training, Webinar, Job Aids, Workshops, etc.) for all talent management programs.

Provide training and support to users on related Oracle HCM platform features and functionality.

Contribute to the development of strategy, policies and procedures and responsible for the integration of talent management practices across the system.

Develop standards for competency assessment for recruitment, development and promotion of employees.

Align the talent optimization system with organizational business strategy and continuously improve processes to develop a robust performance management, talent mobility, and succession planning process at all levels.

Plan and implement a comprehensive talent management and automation plan that leverages Oracle Cloud and enforce the performance cycle.

Manage the ongoing internal activities and external systems and providers associated with succession management, talent mobility, and performance management.

Maintain data privacy and security policies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to integrate talent optimization platforms with other business systems.

Performs other duties as requested by senior management.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required, advanced degree a plus

8+ years of experience in organizational development, management/leadership development, change management or related disciplines

8+ years of leveraging technology to drive innovation across talent management practices

Extremely detail-oriented and organized with the highest level of quality standards

Goal-driven with the ability to proactively take initiative

Strong data and analytics ability

Strong technical proficiency with HRIS systems, data analysis tools, and reporting tools

Ability to quickly build trust-based relationships with organizational leadership, colleagues and internal/external stakeholders

Strong strategic thinking and decision strength

Demonstrated ability to approach challenges with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Excellent project management and consulting skills

Excellent facilitation and process consultation skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to resolve conflict and provide clear direction

Experience in dealing with multiple locations and influencing a diverse workforce

Comfortable working with minimal direction and comfortable with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications Oracle Cloud certification(s), specifically in Talent Management modules

Compensation

Base pay range: $105,400.00/yr - $140,500.00/yr
