Restores Patient Physical Functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment goals and plans; administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and in using assistant and supportive devices. Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations. Provides individual, family and group therapy sessions for clients engaged in outpatient therapy. Participates in the interdisciplinary group for hospice patients and the case conference meetings for home health patients. Participates in discharge planning. Provide initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and protocols and facilitate recommendations for treatment. Record all pertinent data in the patient’s medical records. Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy Experience: Hospital, rehab or ambulatory setting 2-3 years required Licenses: Physical Therapist [State License] required Additional notes: $10,000 Sign on bonus Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills required. Ability to work independently with only general supervision. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Intermediate to advanced ability to get work done through others. Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent coach and strong motivator.
