Heritage Health is seeking a dedicated and flexible
PRN Dentist
to provide coverage on an as-needed basis, primarily during staff vacations and other absences in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Diagnose and treat oral health conditions; develop treatment plans and provide services such as fillings, cleanings, extractions, and pulpal debridement as needed. Provide preventive care and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices to reduce disease risk. Deliver patient-centered care with compassion and maintain an approachable demeanor to ease patient concerns and build trust. Develop customized treatment plans based on diagnostic findings, patient needs, health status, and available resources. Collaborate with hygienists, dental assistants, administrative staff, and leadership to ensure a seamless patient experience and continuity of care. Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards; complete documentation by the end of the business day. Provide referrals to specialists as needed and participate in follow-up care as directed by the Clinic Dental Director. Qualifications
Education: DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) from an accredited dental school. Licensure: Current Idaho dental license (or eligibility to obtain licensure by start date). Certification: DEA license, Idaho controlled substance registration, NPI number, current BLS. Experience: At least 1 year of general dentistry or 1-year GPR/AEGD preferred. Skills and Attributes
Strong clinical skills with a broad knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex dental issues in simple terms. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and with diverse patient populations. Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Requirements
Prolonged periods of standing and working at a computer. May lift up to 15 pounds. Must be able to access and navigate multiple departments of a given location. Must be able to work in a busy environment with varying patient needs. Must adhere to process protocols and safety standards. Safety
