Shift: Hybrid Schedule Monday - Friday Locations: Maple Shade NJ, Ft. Worth TX, Bartlett IL 8-hour shift between 7am-7pm (flexible) Benefits include health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, paid time off and more Eligible for benefits within 30 days of employment What will you do?
Develop complete, accurate and up-to-date specifications for up-fit to meet the client’s business applications and needs Complete price quotations on vehicle upfit Offer alternative options based on OEM and supplier limitations, and using Holman preferred vendor partners Research and make recommendations to drive savings, safety improvements, improved client work applications, or other benefits to customer specifications Maintain technical working knowledge of chassis availability, specifications, and model year changes Serve as a single point of contact for all vehicle design questions Maintain knowledge of vendor capabilities, lead times and alternative suppliers; collaborate with Regional Engineering Manager (REM) to support sales efforts Communicate regularly with sales, customers, engineering, suppliers, operations, scheduling and other departments to understand client needs and ensure operational efficiency Deliver complete, accurate and orderable quotations (chassis and up-fit) to existing and prospective customers Set pricing for all M&D upfit with input from REM; ensure upfit profitability Own vehicle design and note all parts required; give direction to manufacturing team Identify ways to improve client up-fit design for best price, quality, and safety What are we looking for?
6+ years of experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment Experience reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics Experience managing multiple projects at once Experience supporting railroad builds preferred Bachelor’s degree in engineering, automotive, mathematics or equivalent experience in commercial truck or up-fitting industries ASE training considered a plus Strong computer skills; MS Office; ERP, MRP or BOM management systems a plus Well versed in all types of commercial vehicles and upfits – cab-chassis, SUV, pickups, vans, electric vehicles Familiar with upfits – bodies, cranes, hydraulics, van equipment, lighting Knowledge of design trends and market application (energy, pest control, telecommunications, etc.) Knowledge of OEM facilities, transportation systems and limitations Ability to run a complete RFP comparing multiple OEMs and aligning up-fit accordingly For up-fit needs outside Auto Truck capabilities, coordinate and competitively quote multiple vendors Ability to provide analysis and recommendations for chassis and up-fit solutions including pre-order planning, production capabilities/scheduling, chassis routing Willingness to work cooperatively with others and treat colleagues with respect Benefits
