Overview
Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is an employee-owned consulting engineering firm with multidisciplinary services including engineering, environmental, landscape architecture, surveying and construction administration and inspection. AMT is growing and seeking a highly motivated Site / Civil Engineer to join our Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in planning and civil engineering design for residential, commercial, institutional, and public (federal and local) site development projects.
Responsibilities
Assist the project manager and engineering staff in preparing construction documents and in the design of site and infrastructure improvements including grading, dry and wet utilities, erosion control, and stormwater management.
Prepare calculations and reports that support design.
Process construction documents through regulatory agencies in the District of Columbia.
Perform construction administration duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
2–5 years of experience in planning and civil engineering design of mixed-use, residential, commercial, institutional, and public site development projects
Primary experience in the District of Columbia and/or Suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
Ability to prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates
Ability to assist with the preparation of engineering studies and reports
Technical proficiency in AutoCAD including Civil 3D and/or MicroStation

Salary: Beltsville, MD: $95,000.00–$105,000.00; Washington, DC: $80,000.00–$100,000.00; additional location listings show broader ranges.
