One Bennett Park , Chicago, IL. This is a Local 1 Union position. Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, direct and supervise the maintenance staff. Oversee all maintenance and repairs at the development and ensure a responsible staff member is available to respond to emergency calls at all times. Ensure apartment turnovers are impeccably clean, mechanically in good working order, and properly painted prior to resident move-in. Keep common areas (laundry rooms, hallways, offices, shops, storage, refuse areas, grounds) clean; schedule routine janitorial tasks to maintain standards. Follow purchase order instructions established by the district/regional office. Solicit, review, and recommend third-party contracts when directed by the Chief Engineer or designee. Ensure Building Engines software is utilized for all mechanical Property Management tasks. Qualifications
4–6 years of recent hands-on experience in the property management industry. Facilities/Operations experience with strong working knowledge of building systems. Proficient in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and basic construction. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Comprehensive knowledge of industry software systems; preferably Yardi. Proven career success in multi-family housing, luxury, or market-rate segments. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, internally and externally. Experience managing multiple projects and people. Compensation
$28.93 / hour Plus Local 1 Union Benefits Schedule
Tuesday – Saturday 8:00am–4:30pm Company
