Corporate Account Manager, Food and Beverage
position focuses on water treatment sales at a corporate level. Successful candidates will have technical knowledge in the industry and experience calling on customers at the corporate level. The role emphasizes maintaining existing customer accounts and driving new business to strengthen ChemTreat’s market position within one or more vertical industries. The role requires the ability to cultivate relationships across customer levels from operators to C-suite, develop retention and growth strategies, and collaborate with Field Sales, technical staff, and management to deliver ROI projects, cost savings, and value selling. Responsibilities
Develop an action plan for each customer account by understanding the customer’s key business drivers and strategically selling the ChemTreat value proposition to expand revenue and profit. Build and establish professional relationships with key personnel, decision makers and influencers. Craft viable pricing structures in assigned accounts to increase sales and profit margins across geographies. Meet targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives. Provide analysis of markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues. Support and expand ChemTreat’s presence in key industry and trade organizations in coordination with the Vertical Director. Mentor Associate Corporate Account Manager activities within assigned accounts where applicable. Keep Vertical Director and Marketing informed about key industry trends and competitive activity. Collaborate with FOS, technical services, and internal operating groups to meet customer needs. Learn customer operations, understand challenges, and provide solutions to meet needs. Communicate the ChemTreat Value Proposition to all levels of the customer, from local to C-Suite. Construct and present effective proposals to customers/prospects. Deliver industry-specific training to ChemTreat associates and customers. Sell, start up, and transition new business to the field sales and service team. Audit and communicate program results across multiple customer locations. Entertain customers and prospects in accordance with company policies. Knowledge & Skills
Identify critical issues and craft practical solutions that enable sustainable competitive advantage. Excellent communication and presentation skills (emails, service reports, proposals). Fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint). Industry knowledge specific to water treatment. Business-to-business sales experience with negotiation and account-management skills. Analytical skills to document total cost of ownership, KPIs, and account profitability. Ability to lead through influence and collaborate to achieve goals without direct reporting relationships. Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree; technical discipline preferred. 5+ years of water treatment sales experience preferred. Minimum 7-9 years of successful B2B sales experience. Proven track record of selling at least $1M in new business. Travel expectations of 50-75%. Proven track record of generating sales revenue in the water treatment industry with year-over-year increases. Physical Demands
Travel, long hours, and varied schedules. Constantly sit; occasionally walk, stand, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, and smell. Frequent use of hands to handle objects and operate a computer keyboard. Lift and carry up to 60 pounds; may handle drums weighing 250-800 pounds. Occasionally climb stairs and ladders, work at high elevations; drive long distances. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception; adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable essential functions. Working Conditions & Environment
Required PPE for deliveries (eye, hearing, respiratory protection, etc.). Occasional extreme heat; noise at indoor/outdoor sites. Sites may include boiler houses, cooling towers, water or wastewater plants, or process areas; hazardous chemicals used. The compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 USD per year. This job is eligible for Commission Pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. The above range may be modified in the future and is based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skills, location, and business needs.
