Buyer Experience is a global team responsible for the suite of user experiences for eBay and the underlying platforms. You will be part of a team building the eBay Live live shopping experience, a newer platform evolving to be a market leader in live shopping. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with peers, product managers, business analysts and operations teams to develop solutions that meet functional and non-functional standards and expectations. Value ownership, initiative, and agile principles. Work across multiple eBay domains. Participate in the full development lifecycle—from design to release—contribute to code and ADR reviews, and help build a forward-looking, modern platform. Triage and debug production issues. Mentor junior team members. Job Requirements BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or 10 years of relevant experience. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Thorough understanding of software development processes and best practices, modern DevOps principles and continuous delivery. Proven experience in building large, reliable, scalable distributed systems. Strong experience with modern programming languages. Java is a must (Scala experience is a plus). Strong experience with core web technologies. Proven experience in architecting scalable backend systems. Hands-on experience with GraphQL is a plus. Past experience with live commerce is a plus. Experience with web (JavaScript/Node.js) and/or native (Android, iOS) is a plus. Salary and Benefits The base pay range for this position is expected to be $190,400 - $254,200. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include bonus and restricted stock units, plus a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits).
