This job opportunity is for employment with Collaborative Health Partners, LLC (CHP). CHP is a medical group and education partner providing over 160 clinical rotations annually for Liberty University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) students and the Lynchburg Family Residency Program. CHP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty University, Inc., and as such, is a separate distinct company. More information about CHP can be found at www.collaborativehealth.com.
Responsibilities The Assistant Professor’s primary role is to teach in their area of expertise, maintain the integrity of course and instructional programs, and ensure that delivery aligns with the University mission and vision for the student experience. Faculty are responsible for creating an academic atmosphere of mutual respect and consideration for individual dignity. Faculty may be asked to aid in curriculum development in residential and distance education environments, and to engage in research, scholarship, or creative activity as required by their college or school and any service to students and their professional discipline.
Release from contracted teaching load is determined each semester by the Dean, per Liberty University Faculty Handbook.
Qualifications An earned doctoral degree or a terminal master’s degree at an accredited institution in an area relevant to the faculty member’s teaching area or a professional certificate (e.g., CPA) is preferred but not required.
