Mission or Goal of Unit: The mission of the Department of Neurology is to provide state-of-the-art comprehensive patient-centered neurological care for adults and children, perform translational and clinical research to further understanding of disease mechanisms and develop new treatments, and train the next generation of neurologists and clinical neuroscientists. Chief Purpose of this position: The Department of Neurology seeks a full-time member to join our expanding clinical and research enterprises in the Division of Movement Disorders. This position will provide patient care, engage in medical student and neurology resident and fellow education, and participate in clinical research.
Position Responsibilities:
Care for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on movement disorders and deep brain stimulation. Teach medical students and residents, organize formal conferences on movement disorders and deep brain stimulation, attend weekly Grand Rounds, and occasionally lecture. Participate in clinical and translational research projects, lead clinical trials as appropriate. Serve on departmental, School of Medicine, and university committees, and contribute professionally as a reviewer or conference organizer. Required Qualifications:
BC/BE in Neurology Completed an accredited Movement Disorders Fellowship Experience fostering diversity or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. Seniority level
