Anesthesiologist opportunity in northern New Jersey with Overlook Medical Center — nationally recognized. Summit, NJ — Overlook Medical Center is a 350-bed hospital offering a wide array of advanced services including neurodiagnostic, neurological, and neurosurgical care. The site features a certified Level IV Epilepsy Center and is a hub for the New Jersey Stroke Network and a regional leader in neuroscience care through the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute. The Gerald J. Glasser Brain Tumor Center operates on campus, with many brain tumor surgeries performed locally. Responsibilities
Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department Provide medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain during surgery and other procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtain and/or verify patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient; manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitor patient’s physiological condition Perform clinical interventions as needed Qualifications
M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited medical school ECFMG and FLEX Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician Practice Details
