Overview
Cath Lab Interventional Rad Tech - Full Time - Varied at Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley. Rotating - 10 Hour shifts (United States of America).
What You Will Do
Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures
Monitor and document all essential hemodynamic measurements throughout diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures
Utilize and troubleshoot adjunct diagnostic and interventional modalities necessary to complete procedures
Provide technical skills to assist the physician in performing interventional procedures
Maintain a safe environment for patients undergoing interventional procedures, including methods to reduce radiation exposure
Monitor and document all X-ray exposure doses; ensure radiation protection protocols are followed by all staff and patients
Inventory and stock procedure rooms; complete expired stock lists monthly
Participate in cross training in Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology Lab; maintain required CEUs for certification/licensure
Ensure electronic data is correctly sent to appropriate destinations
Educate patients and families regarding procedures and/or treatments
Adhere to C-I-CARE standards of the hospital for patient-centered interactions

Accredited School of Radiology Required
Experience Qualifications
2+ to 3 years of Cath Lab experience Required
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work in a fast-paced changing environment
Strong customer service skills
Organized and detail oriented
Basic budgeting knowledge
Strong computer skills
Knowledge of safety, quality management and Joint Commission standards for the department
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and escalate to management as needed
Licenses and Certifications
Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
ARRT - Radiology Tech License or
ARRT-CT - ARRT CT certification preferred
CRT required
