Overview

Our Wellness Center Ambassadors welcome patients in the Health and Wellness Center, greet guests, assist with wayfinding, provide clerical support to ensure a positive and cohesive experience, check in patients, and assist with quick registrations or scheduling as required. The role supports the patient journey and ensures a positive experience throughout visits. This is a fast-paced OBGYN practice with multiple locations. Responsibilities

Welcome all guests to the Health and Wellness Center, proactively greeting them and facilitating their visit through various points of their journey. Maintain visibility at the point of entry with a professional appearance and demeanor. Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously, maintain a welcoming demeanor. Obtain and verify demographic information when required. Direct patients to accurate locations or assist with registration, check-in, or scheduling as needed. Escort or arrange for an escort for patients needing a wheelchair when necessary. Make confirmation calls, complete check-in upon arrival, and announce patient arrivals to registration or the next department. Answer telephones and facilitate calls per organizational standards. Enforce visiting and access policies, assist security as needed, and complete event reports as required. Explain parking options and address related concerns. Handle routine inquiries/issues and direct patient complaints as appropriate. Conduct environmental observations and follow up to address issues in coverage areas (lobby, restrooms, etc.). Adhere to HMH and departmental policies and procedures. Support visitors waiting in covered areas and maintain high department morale with colleagues and volunteers. May stand for shifts and provide physical assistance to patients and visitors as needed. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Establish a relationship with patients to ensure efficient communication between the medical team, front desk personnel, or supervisors. Serve as a patient contact for clerical matters regarding patient care and provide secretarial support as assigned. Schedule tests or appointments as needed or assist patients with digital self-service. Use digital solutions to guide patients through check-in, registration, or scheduling. Provide support for receiving, mail, supplies, and restocking for Wellness Center areas. Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum of one year of working experience. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor under stress. Highly resourceful, efficient, and organized with excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, problem-solving, and service recovery skills. Computer skills. Past experience with Matrix reporting environment. Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred

Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree. Minimum of one year of front desk/reception or hospitality experience. Patient Advocacy Certification. Bilingual. Starting at $18.36 hourly.
