The Clinical & Pharmacy Analyst bridges pharmacy practice, advanced informatics, and AI-driven decision support. This role is pivotal in scaling the Recommendation & Intelligence Engine to deliver precise, high-impact insights that improve medication safety, optimize therapy, and drive smarter engagement for members, providers, and care advocates. Reports To
You will help shape how pharmacy intelligence and clinical decision support tools generate measurable improvements in clinical outcomes, adherence, and client value, while building the next-generation platform for precision healthcare. Key Responsibilities
Expand and refine the Recommendation & Intelligence Engine to surface precise, high-value pharmacy and care interventions. Partner with data science to design, train, and validate AI/ML models for adherence prediction, therapy risk, and formulary optimization. Build prioritization frameworks to ensure recommendations are timely, clinically sound, and financially impactful. AI-Driven Clinical Decision Support Development
Lead the design and implementation of AI-enhanced CDS tools within EHRs and digital platforms. Author, test, and maintain CDS content (rules, alerts, order sets) to support safe, cost-effective therapy decisions. Balance innovation with usability—reducing alert fatigue while increasing adoption and relevance. Pharmacy Informatics & Workflow Optimization
Embed pharmacy recommendations into existing clinical workflows with Clinical Platform team. Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and care advocates to identify medication-use gaps and workflow optimization opportunities. Act as a subject matter expert bridging pharmacy practice, product, and engineering. Data Analysis, Validation & Governance
Support analytics and dashboard development to measure effectiveness of pharmacy interventions (adherence, cost avoidance, outcomes). Contribute to model validation processes ensuring clinical accuracy and safety of automated recommendations. Establish governance for pharmacy data, including drug dictionaries, formulary content, and benefit logic. Collaboration & Change Management
Translate clinical requirements into technical specs for engineering and data science teams. Educate and support care teams, product managers, and client-facing staff on new tools and workflows. Ensure all solutions comply with HIPAA, FDA, and patient safety regulations. Qualifications
Education PharmD required; active pharmacist license preferred. Master’s in Health Informatics, Data Science, or related field strongly preferred. Experience 3–6+ years in clinical pharmacy practice with strong informatics experience. Proven success in pharmacy informatics (CDS build, formulary/benefit optimization, workflow redesign). Hands-on experience with AI/ML in healthcare—training, validation, or integration into CDS or recommendation systems. Collaboration with data scientists/engineers to convert clinical insights into algorithms or decision logic. Technical Skills Working knowledge of EHR pharmacy systems preferred Basic SQL and data analysis capabilities; willingness to develop advanced skills Understanding of RxNorm, NDC, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS Experience with AI governance: bias monitoring, fairness, transparency, model drift Ability to drive adoption through workflow redesign, training, and change management Familiarity with claims data analysis and PBM design Experience with clinical quality measures and pharmacy performance metrics (PDC, MTM, Star Ratings) Clinical Expertise Strong foundation in medication therapy management and clinical pharmacy practice Understanding of population health management and adherence programs Knowledge of pharmacy quality measures and intervention design Experience with medication safety and adverse drug event prevention Core Competencies Analytical thinking, problem-solving Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies Detail-oriented with commitment to clinical accuracy and patient safety Why Join Us Be at the frontier of AI in pharmacy informatics, building a next-gen engine.
