Overview We are seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center by providing high quality, efficient care. The Surgical Technologist II will demonstrate knowledge and skills to assist during surgical procedures in the scrub role, maintain aseptic technique, and support operating room readiness. Responsibilities Assist during surgical procedures in the scrub role with knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for all types of procedures. Prepare and set up sterile fields, pull cases, and break down cases at end of procedures. Ensure operation room and supplies are ready for day and following day’s schedule; maintain sterile technique and equipment as needed. Work across multiple surgical specialties (e.g., Total Joints, Ophthalmology/Retinal, Vascular, Neurosurgical, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Free Flaps/Limb Preservation, Craniofacial). Be available for call on an assigned/scheduled basis as required by unit need and perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Qualifications Licensure/Certification/Registration: State of Colorado Surgical Registry required (DORA). BLS required. Current CST Certification from NBSTSA preferred. Education: Graduate of Surgical Technician Program. Experience: One to two years of experience as a surgical technician preferred. Special Qualifications: Knowledge of sterile technique, setup and maintenance of sterile field, surgical instruments and equipment; completion of orientation as Surgical Technician I.
