Position Summary:
The Department of Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine is seeking a non-tenure track Infectious Diseases Clinician Educator at the Morsani College of Medicine. The role involves working directly at the TGH Cancer Center, providing inpatient and outpatient consultation and treatment for: Infections in cancer patients receiving active therapy Malignant hematology patients with impending neutropenia HSCT patients admitted for conditioning therapy and transplantation CAR-T or ICE patients admitted for cellular therapy Patients hospitalized under TGMG Oncology Services The physician will dedicate approximately 75% of their time to clinical care and 25% to administrative, educational, research, and supervision activities. The candidate should demonstrate excellence in patient care and scholarly activities, with experience in an academic medical center. Appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor requires relevant experience and achievement. Responsibilities
Clinical care activities at Tampa General Hospital Administrative, educational, research, and supervisory activities Academic advising and related activities Representing the university, college, or department as appropriate Qualifications
Minimum:
Medical degree from an accredited institution, achievement in teaching, research, and service, eligibility for Florida Medical License, Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine/Infectious Disease. For higher ranks, a minimum of five years of productive service is required. Preferred:
Experience in oncology services, clinical research, development of quality metrics, teaching experience, and a proven track record in Infectious Disease Oncology trials. About Us
