About The Role
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a
Director of Clinical and Sports Psychology
to lead mental health and performance programs for student-athletes. This role provides strategic leadership, direct care, and oversight of a multidisciplinary team, fostering well-being, resilience, and personal growth for student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consultation, education, and support to coaches, administrators, and staff on student-athlete well-being, performance, and team needs.
Oversee clinical and performance psychology services, including counseling, consultation, and team interventions.
Lead and develop wellness, leadership, and performance programs for student-athletes.
Supervise and support a team of providers; maintain program-level communication and reporting.
Collaborate across Sports Medicine, Athletics, and university staff to address mental health and performance needs.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams (e.g., substance use, eating disorders, psychiatry).
Shared participation in after-hours “on call” coverage for student-athletes.
Ensure compliance with licensure, documentation, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, medicine, nursing, or related field.
Licensed in the State of PA (LPC, LCSW).
2+ years of experience in human services, including supervision, direct service, and program planning (experience in sports or student-athlete support strongly preferred).
2–5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Experience working with student-athletes and athletic department staff a plus.
