Position Overview McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston invites applications for a full-time, 1.0 FTE, non-tenure clinical track position in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, Division of Advanced Minimally Invasive Gynecology (AMIG). The role involves research, teaching, clinical service, and administrative activities, contributing to the department's mission of education, discovery, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized surgical and medical care for complex gynecologic conditions, utilizing laparoscopy, vaginal, robotic, single-site, and hysteroscopic procedures.
Support clinical excellence and innovation through assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care standards.
Manage staff including hiring, evaluating, and counseling clinical and support personnel.
Participate in budget development and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective, high-quality care.
Mentor and support clinical staff, fostering professional development.
Lead initiatives to improve patient outcomes and departmental performance.
Engage in quality improvement programs and develop departmental policies and standards.
Collaborate with hospital administration and faculty to identify opportunities and improve department services.
Monitor financial reports and implement cost-saving strategies.
Participate in committees and interdisciplinary performance improvement activities.
Qualifications The candidate must hold a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. A commitment to excellence, discovery, and service is essential, along with potential for outstanding performance in the field.
