Dyad Model —the hospital’s Medical Director (MD) works collaboratively with the Hospital Director (HD) to lead the Healthcare Team. The MD, who reports to a Regional Medical Director, is the local Medical Services leader and oversees all specialty and emergency doctors. The MD promotes a culture that supports the development of engaged and empowered caregivers who deliver the MedVet Experience while living MedVet’s core values of

Compassion . The MD partners with their dyad HD to improve and sustain MedVet’s focus on evaluating, planning, and implementing the delivery of best-in-class healthcare to MedVet patients. Successful dyad leadership provides representation of all caregivers, fosters diversity of thought, and leverages the experience and skill of our Medical Services and Clinical Services Teams. Key Responsibilities Include: Foster a culture that supports continuous improvement and the development of engaged and empowered caregivers. In partnership with the Hospital Director, serve as an overall leader for the hospital, directing both Emergency and Specialty services. Lead and direct the Medical Services teams, including doctor hiring, onboarding, development, and performance management, partnering with Clinical Services, HR, or other teams as needed. Manage overall department workflows and ensure patient care is delivered efficiently, safely, and compassionately. Handle doctor scheduling, department meetings, and doctor-facing communications. Ensure the Clinical Services team has the resources and tools to deliver high-quality care. Manage hospital financial results, including inventory, supplies, and expenses. Collaborate with the HD, RMD, and VP of Clinical Services and Finance to prepare and manage budgets. Lead the hospital's annual operational planning strategy and execution. Foster Referral Partner outreach and CE activities to strengthen relationships and grow practice. Oversee patient care issues, client and Referral Partner concerns, and respond to escalated issues. Who You Are: Demonstrated leadership with a successful track record during times of change and growth. At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in a veterinary organization. Capable of managing conflict in emotional situations with grace and maturity. Board-certified veterinary specialists, ER veterinarians, military veterinarians, or those with equivalent leadership experience are ideal.
