This role provides compassionate, patient-centered care; patients are seen in the office and hospital rounding is required. Maintain timely, accurate and detailed medical records using ECW, the Medical Center’s office-based EMR. Prescribe medications or therapies when necessary. Recommend lifestyle changes as appropriate to improve quality of life. Explain all medical procedures thoroughly; explain test results and provide patients with plan of care details. Consult with other doctors as appropriate about patient’s specific needs. Participate in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics. Serve on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested. Seek to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals. Participate in business development and marketing activities to grow the business. Understand the physician practice environment. Demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Team Member Competencies

Education: MD or DO, Board Certified, Knowledge of computer systems and applications to include but not limited to EPIC. Experience/Qualifications: New grad or experienced will be considered; MD or DO and Board Certified or Board Eligible. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, walk for long periods of time; be able to twist, bend, lift, assist, transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher; lift a minimum of 40 lbs; perform CPR and patient assessments. Threshold Requirements: These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly; Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation, TB/PPD Surveillance Program and maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
