MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgery Knowledge of computer systems and applications including ECW and Cerner Experience / Qualifications
New grad or experienced physicians will be considered MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible Position Summary
This role is for a physician who provides compassionate, patient-centered care. Patients are seen in the office and hospital rounding is required. Maintenance of timely, accurate, and detailed medical records using ECW (the Medical Center’s office-based EMR) Prescribes medication or therapy when necessary Recommends lifestyle changes as appropriate to improve quality of life Explains all medical procedures thoroughly Explains test results and provides patients with plan of care details Consults with other doctors as appropriate about patient needs Participates in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics Serves on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested Seeks to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals Participates in business development and marketing activities to grow the business Understands the physician practice environment Excellent communication skills at all levels Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements
This role can be physically demanding, requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 40 lbs. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, and make sound decisions. Team Member Competencies
