Assist physicians in examinations, following standard protocols, isolation precautions, and sterile techniques. Demonstrate proper injection techniques for radiopharmaceuticals per the American College of Radiology guidelines. Recognize clinical or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate actions. Identify patients and files accurately using electronic medical records and PACS systems. Use radiation protection procedures effectively, maintaining exposure within ALARA limits. Minimum Qualifications Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited program. Registered State Inspector - Virginia (must obtain license if required by the state). CNMT or ARRT-N certification within one year of hire; BLS certification upon start. Experience in a hospital/healthcare setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or student.
