Purchasing Manager
to lead our procurement function and optimize vendor relationships to support our growth. Position Overview: The
Purchasing Manager
will oversee sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of materials and goods for manufacturing and business operations. This role is based in our Boston office, with regular travel to our Walpole, NH factory: once a week during peak seasons and twice a month off-season. Ideal candidates will have experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar, and possess strong skills in vendor negotiation, cost management, and operational planning. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full purchasing lifecycle, from sourcing to delivery, for raw materials, packaging, and supplies. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality. Maintain and evaluate relationships with suppliers and vendors, identifying opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with manufacturing, finance, and product teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels. Utilize ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) for tracking, reporting, and data management. Address supply chain issues promptly and cost-effectively. Attend 1–2 trade shows annually to source vendors and stay informed on market trends. Implement best practices in procurement to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. At least 5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in CPG, food & beverage, or manufacturing. Proven negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings. Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite; SAP or similar is acceptable. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Willingness to work onsite in Boston five days a week and travel regularly to Walpole, NH.
