Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting a Stewarding Supervisor to join the hotel’s opening team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 34 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. Position Summary The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stewarding team, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards across all food service areas. In addition to managing regular stewarding duties, this position includes supporting the smooth operation of three kitchens and attending to the needs of special events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service Operational Oversight Supervise and coordinate the stewarding team to ensure timely and efficient completion of cleaning, sanitization, and organizational tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization in three kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Oversee the maintenance and proper use of dishwashing machines, cleaning equipment, and chemicals. Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals, ensuring availability and cost efficiency. Event Support Attend and support special events to ensure seamless back-of-house operations. Coordinate with event planners and culinary teams to meet specific setup and breakdown requirements. Supervise the stewarding team during events, ensuring efficient execution of tasks under time-sensitive conditions. Leadership & Training Train, mentor, and evaluate stewarding team members, promoting professional growth and adherence to standards. Create and enforce schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for daily operations and events. Lead by example, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and work ethic. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with Executive Stewarding and kitchen teams to support kitchen and stewarding operations and special requests. Communicate effectively with other departments to meet operational needs and resolve challenges. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with Andaz values.
