Senior Manager Of Construction Safety

As Senior Manager of Construction Safety, you own safety oversight for Walmart's construction and remodel activities across the entire Walmart enterprise including Walmart Stores, Sam's Club, Supply Chain, Last Mile, Walmart Manufacturing, and other subsidiaries worldwide. This spans thousands of projects annually, including new stores, distribution centers, remodels, and capital expansions. Location: Bentonville, AR | Travel: 2550%. What You'll Do... Develop and lead Walmart's Construction Safety Program, setting enterprise standards for contractors and associate safety across all projects. Oversee contractor qualification, compliance, and adherence to OSHA and local regulatory requirements. Partner with Real Estate, Design, and Construction teams to integrate safety into project planning and execution. Provide direct oversight of high-risk activities (steel erection, crane operations, hot work, confined spaces, etc.). Lead and develop construction safety managers and field teams to elevate safety culture and performance. Drive continuous improvement through audits, investigations, trend analysis, and best-practice deployment. What You'll Bring... Strong experience in construction safety management, preferably overseeing large-scale, multi-site projects in retail, supply chain, or manufacturing environments. Deep understanding of OSHA regulations, local and international safety standards, and best practices in construction safety. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing safety teams across broad geographies and project types. Experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures. Strong partnership skills to work cross-functionally with Real Estate, Design, Construction, and external contractors. Skilled in conducting audits, investigations, and root cause analyses to drive continuous improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Willingness to travel as needed to support projects across the enterprise. Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related area and 3 years' experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area. Option 2: 5 years' experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area. 2 years' experience managing budgets, profit-and-loss statements, or related financial processes. 3 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications... Master's degree in Business Administration or related area.
