NPI Engineering Lab Manager

The NPI Engineering Lab Manager is the focal-point for a cross-functional group of program managers, production operators, and technicians to remedy new product issues, including leading/organizing rapid deep-dive technical troubleshooting, analyzing collective results, and delegation of multiple parallel tasks for efficient issue resolution. The NPI Engineering Lab Manager is responsible for leading the hardening of products and processes in preparation of global manufacturing product launches. Serve as the primary interface between the networks of technical and professional teams that collaborate on identifying, isolating, triaging, and resolving launch constraints on new products in the new products introduction lab environment. Coordinate operational and technical resources in raw materials inventory management, server and rack system integration, and system validation test execution. Implement management systems for monitoring status of inventory levels, integration progress, and validation test progress in partnership with engineering and software development teams. Convert new products introduction program plans into daily actions for operators and technicians. Assign priorities, assist with issue resolution, and report on status. Partner with new products introduction engineers and program managers to ensure materials, equipment, training, and infrastructure are in place to support integration & test activities. Assess, analyze, consolidate, and communicate risk & status clearly and succinctly to working level and executive audiences. Author project status, summary, and issue resolution tracking reports. The right person for this role is a leader and facilitator; is dynamic, driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in workforce management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or equivalent. 4+ years' experience in technical program management in a manufacturing environment 2+ years' experience leading technical teams in manufacturing operations. Ability to use problem-solving techniques to evaluate solutions and propose resolutions. Ability to set team directions for new standard development and execution. Demonstrated experience in manufacturing processes, test processes, and product launch. Strong understanding of server hardware fundamentals. Strong understanding of production testing and firmware fundamentals. Experience with leading initiatives for continuous improvement / lean programs Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project) About ZT Systems
