Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Wilson, NC 27893 (Eastern North Carolina)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Dates: 7/20/2025, 8/18/2025, 9/1/2025, 9/15/2025
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 (flexible based on acuity)
• Orientation: Bi-weekly start dates for new travel nurses
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800–$1840

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NC or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Experience with Meditech EHR preferred
• Must reside at least 60 miles from Wilson, NC to qualify as a travel nurse
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute conditions (respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, hypertension, and more)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Utilize GE monitors and standard emergency department equipment
• Accurately document patient care and interventions in Meditech EHR
• Float to similar nursing assignments within the hospital as needed
