Texas Nursing Job Details
- Location: Plano, TX 75075 – Located in North Texas, Plano is known for excellent schools, diverse dining, and beautiful parks.
- Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown (Tele 7th Floor)
- Assignment Length: 13-week contract
- RN Shift: 12-hour days (7A-7P), every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1730
- Start Date: November 3, 2025
- End Date: February 2, 2026
- Call Requirements: Yes
- Documentation System: Meditech EMR
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs; clean and healthy nails (no artificial nails); neat hair and facial hair; visible body art and piercings (other than ears) must be covered or removed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown specialty experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke certification required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to other nursing units as needed
- Adhere to hospital policies, including attendance and unit guidelines
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with dress code standards
