• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Locum Tenens)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/5/2026)
• Nursing Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2050 - $2190
• Patient Population: Adults to geriatrics
• Weekend Coverage: Required

RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in acute healthcare or acute rehab nursing
• Active California RN license (required at time of submission)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA certified and in hand)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5:1
• Background policy disclosure required prior to submission
• Return staff policy: Must be gone 1 year to return as traveler
• Completion of orientation modules (average 1-5 hours, completed during orientation)

RN Responsibilities – Acute Rehab Nursing

• Deliver comprehensive, goal-directed nursing care from admission to discharge
• Manage care for assigned patients and direct activities of ancillary healthcare staff
• Provide individualized care for adults, geriatrics, and occasional pediatric patients
• Utilize critical thinking, effective communication, and teamwork to enhance patient and family experience
• Perform and document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Administer medications and treatments including blood products, anti-seizure, anti-coagulants, diuretics, and more
• Conduct diabetic teaching, pain assessment/management, wound care, pressure ulcer prevention, and fall risk assessment
• Manage feeding devices, adaptive equipment, PEG tube care, and incentive spirometry
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, and Pharmacy
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions
