• Facility Type: Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Assignment: Locum tenens (travel RN contract)
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 12-hour day shifts (06:30 – 19:00), every other weekend required
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,800 – $1,840
• Electronic Health Record: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Any

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Wisconsin or compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) nursing
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience in the U.S.
• Proficiency with EPIC EHR required
• Skilled nursing facility experience alone is not sufficient unless combined with 2 years of IRF or Med/Surg experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adults and geriatric patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, orthopedic injuries, and other rehabilitation needs
• Monitor and manage common diagnoses including hypertension, diabetes (blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols), and neurological conditions
• Deliver care for feeding tubes, ports, PICC lines, foley catheters, and wound/ulcer management
• Implement isolation and swallowing precautions, administer supplemental oxygen, and initiate IVs as needed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Accurately document all nursing care and interventions in EPIC
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for patients and their families
