Travel Surgical Tech - $2,370 per week in Madison, WI

Job Title: Pediatric OR Tech Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Pediatric Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum two years of pediatric scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required. License: Must be in hand at submission. Certifications: BLS must be certified through the American Heart Association only. Must-Have: Strong skills in Eyes, Urology, Neuro, and Ortho. Description: The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery. They promote the safety of the patient during surgery. They provide assistance to the surgeon during surgery. They care for the patient during surgery. They care for the instruments and supplies used in surgery. The Surgical Technologist functions to promote the safety of the patient as a member of the surgical team. The incumbent possesses knowledge and skills required to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities are required. Experience in high-acuity situations is important. The role may include working in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. The individual must have experience with various surgical procedures and be knowledgeable in infection control and aseptic technique. Travelers may need to float to different units as required.
