Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: 2 years of echo experience required License: Active license required Certifications: ARDMS in RDCS or CCI, BLS required Must-Have: Travel experience required Description: Echo Sonographer position available for 13 weeks. ASAP start preferred. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. There will be rotating call responsibilities. Candidates must have certification ARDMS in RDCS or CCI and BLS. Experience in travel is required. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of echo experience. This role primarily involves performing adult echocardiograms, but may also include performing pediatric echocardiograms. The individual will participate in the pediatric call rotation. Candidates must be registered in pediatric echo and preferably in fetal echo. Previous experience in this area is highly desirable. A variety of patient age groups will be encountered, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The position will involve performing echo studies on patients in the ICU and ED settings. Additional skills in bubble study, imaging with contrast agents, and transesophageal echocardiograms are beneficial. The facility provides interdisciplinary support from various teams including IV, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Compliance documents must be submitted before the start of the assignment. Travelers are required to work at least one holiday during their 13-week assignment. For the winter holidays, two holiday shifts are required.
