Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Forklift/Truck Loader. The core hours are 8:30am to 5pm. The hourly rate for this position is 27.17 per hour.

What you'll do: Operate a forklift to move components, supplies & finished goods Load and unload trailers as required Pick and pull stock for delivery Organize pallet area Organize material storage locations in front yard, inside the building on a regular basis Complete daily forklift inspection Primary owner for recycling duties for assigned area (i.e., emptying cardboard bins to the cardboard baler daily, operating cardboard baler, etc.) Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise. Keeps work areas clean and safe. Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas. • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor. • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility as needed. Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications:
A minimum 6 months of previous forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. Preferred qualifications:
12+ months of previous forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting. Crane Certified Skills: Position Criteria:
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice. Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Ability to work overtime with little to no notice as necessary for customer requirements. Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
