Position Overview

The Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing private and large-scale events across multiple Providence venues. This role involves managing all phases of event operations-from inquiry and planning to on-site execution and post-event follow-up. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities Oversee the full event cycle including sales, planning, detailing, and execution of private and public events. Work closely with clients to understand their vision, budget, and expectations, delivering an exceptional guest experience every time. Prepare detailed event orders, floor plans, and timelines in coordination with the culinary and service teams. Manage communication between departments to ensure seamless execution of events. Supervise on-site setup, service, and breakdown for events, ensuring standards of quality and efficiency are met. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and venue partners. Monitor event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability goals are achieved. Lead pre-event meetings and post-event evaluations to continuously improve operations and service delivery. Qualifications

3+ years of experience in event management, catering, or hospitality operations. Proven track record in detailing and executing

large-scale events

such as

plated dinners, buffet-style functions, ceremonies, and corporate gatherings . Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Proficiency with event management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event calendar.
