The Event Manager oversees the parking operation for events under the direction of the Sr. Manager to ensure 24/7 professional event management. The Event Manager supports programs and initiatives from the home office and assists operational teams throughout assigned events. Responsibilities
Promote a people-first leadership model by providing resources for employee growth and development. Create a customer-centric culture that is approachable, knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging. Identify high-potential employees to support the organization’s growth. Aid the establishment of a positive, safety-oriented workplace environment. Advance a positive, flexible culture of safety. Oversee the Event department. Align processes, resource planning, and department goals with overall business strategy. Monitor KPIs and adjust operations to ensure success. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements between LAZ Parking and clients. Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions. Assist in developing short- and long-term strategic plans based on event knowledge and data analysis. Prepare, track, and manage events and initiatives, including task management, weekly updates, and issue escalation. Manage staff, including scheduling, assignments, payroll processing, coaching, and staff development. Coordinate with Event Venue to track events impacting parking. Implement and complete projects, programs, and initiatives based on event needs. Organize and oversee event operations; perform additional duties as assigned. Experience
3 years in a management role. Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office applications. Parking and Event management experience is preferred but not required. Ability to be flexible with schedule to meet operational needs; may require hours outside of regularly scheduled shifts. Skills
Ability to seek improvement and foster idea sharing and creative problem solving. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to facilitate coaching conversations with employees and managers. Ability to motivate others and lead through challenges with a positive mindset. Demonstrates urgency and timeliness; ability to resolve conflict and problem solve. Physical Demands
Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift. The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
